Sustainability at Catercall

Our Corporate Social Responsibility

We keep commercial kitchens running nationwide. We take the same care over what that costs the planet.

At Catercall, we recognise our responsibility to operate in a way that respects and protects the environment.

As specialists in commercial kitchen installation, maintenance and repair, our engineers are on the road, working across customer sites every day. We are committed to understanding the environmental impact of those activities, reducing waste and emissions wherever practical, and continually improving the way we operate.

Our approach is supported by formal environmental assessment, external expertise and measurable carbon reporting.

Our commitment

Environmental Statement 2026

Catercall Ltd recognises its responsibility to respect the environment and strives for best practice throughout every part of the business, from the parts we specify, to the vans on the road, to the waste we take away. We've engaged Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ Group) as our environment consultant on a formal, externally supported pathway to Net Zero, targeting the ISO 14064 / GHG Emissions Protocol standard.

Duty of care

Everyone at Catercall shares responsibility for conserving natural resources and minimising waste and emissions from our activities.

Compliance, and beyond it

We comply with all relevant environmental legislation, and set our own standards where regulation doesn't yet reach.

Supply chain accountability

Suppliers and contractors are made aware of our environmental policy, and their performance is monitored against it.

Training and review

Employees, managers and directors are trained and given action plans, and this policy is reviewed and revised regularly.

Our environmental commitment

Responsible business, practical action

Our Environmental Policy commits Catercall to achieving environmental best practice throughout our business activities.

That means considering environmental impact in the everyday decisions we make, from the resources and energy we use to the suppliers we work with and the waste generated through our operations.

We are committed to:

  • Reducing waste and energy use and taking practical steps to minimise harmful emissions.
  • Using resources responsibly and looking for opportunities to conserve natural resources.
  • Meeting environmental legislation and setting our own standards where appropriate.
  • Working responsibly with suppliers and contractors, communicating our environmental expectations and monitoring performance.
  • Engaging our customers and encouraging consideration of the environmental implications of the work we undertake.
  • Supporting our people with the information, instruction and training needed to deliver our environmental commitments.
  • Reviewing our performance, with managers and directors responsible for putting our environmental policy into action.

These commitments are set out in Catercall's 2026 Environmental Statement.

Measuring our carbon footprint

Catercall has engaged Neutral Carbon Zone (NCZ) to model our organisational carbon footprint, covering Scope 1 direct emissions, Scope 2 energy indirect emissions and Scope 3 other indirect emissions.

For the May 2025–April 2026 reporting period, our NCZ Blue Award report calculated a modelled organisational carbon footprint of 1,906.99 tonnes CO₂e. The assessment identified Scope 1 as our largest modelled emissions driver.

The assessment considers a broad range of activities including company vehicles, energy and fuels, refrigerants, employee commuting, deliveries, water, waste, purchased goods and services and other business activities.

Waste and responsible resource management

Reducing waste wherever we can

Environmental responsibility extends beyond carbon measurement.

Catercall continues to recycle through RAMCO Eco specialists and works in partnership with Serious Waste for fats, oils and grease (FOG) management.

For a business working with commercial kitchens, responsible handling of equipment, materials and waste is an important part of reducing our wider environmental impact.

Independently assessed

Sustainability you can evidence

Catercall has completed the SafeContractor Sustainability question set, which covers areas including environment, quality management, equality, modern slavery, anti-bribery, GDPR and right-to-work requirements. The assessment is aligned to the PAS91 question set.

Our environmental programme also uses external expertise from Neutral Carbon Zone as we continue developing our approach to carbon measurement and management. Catercall's Environmental Statement records that our pathway is supported by NCZ's Gold support package and targets the ISO 14064 / GHG Emissions Protocol Standard.

Continuous improvement

Our commitment doesn't stop with measurement.

Carbon modelling is a starting point, not the finish line.

We will continue to review our environmental performance, identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical actions that reduce the impact of our operations while continuing to provide the responsive, dependable commercial kitchen support our customers require.
